Agreement with SEU on separating food and dining from residences

At the November 6, 2013 meeting, the university presented the content of a letter of agreement about the separation of food and dining from residences, resulting in two different structural units.  Until now, food and dining was a sub-section of residences. Upon signing of the agreement, the food and dining unit will be called dining services while residences will be called housing services.

SEU and the University sign off on two more articles

The parties met on September 18. They reviewed and discussed the university’s proposed text relating to the scheduling of days of rest and the days on which holidays are taken for employees working on special shifts. A final version of the text was prepared and the parties signed off on the relevant articles.

Bargaining resumes with SEU

After a pause in negotiations during the summer, the parties resumed negotiations on September 11 with both sides’ full committees present at the table.  The university submitted the text of a new definition for the possible duration of assignments on special projects. After clarification of some elements, the union suggested changes that were included in the text which was ratified by the parties.
