KPE’s Daoust stuns in Marlet return

“The best player in the country,” Martlets hockey luminary and Education student Mélodie Daoust returned to the team’s lineup this week, gaining six points in two McGill victories over the weekend. Her performance earned her honours as a McGill Tribune Athlete of the Week, and she was the subject of Michel Marois’ recent article in La Presse.

Grant to bolster MJE, explains Professor Strong-Wilson

A new SSHRC grant will boost the Faculty of Education’s venerated McGill Journal of Education, strengthening the peer-reviewed journal’s commitment to the open access movement. The McGill Journal of Education (MJE),  which will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, will utilize funding from this federal program to help increase and diversify their online presence in the changing world of academic publishing.

Education's SPEAQ On Campus Montreal event a resounding success

The annual SPEAQ on Campus Montreal event was February 7th, hosted in 2015 at McGill’s Education building, and organized by students in the faculty. The conference, a student-led initiative that brings together current and prospective TESL instructors to share their knowledge, featured over 15 workshops throughout the course of the day. The Montreal host rotates between UQAM, Concordia and McGill. The 2015 event, sporting the theme “Collaboration and Cooperation In and Out of the Classroom”, set a new record for attendance with 250 participants.
