Tanya Chichekian, a Doctoral Candidate in the Leanring Sciences program, Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was recently honored with a Recognition Award from the Canadian Asssociation for Teacher Education (CATE) for her Doctoral dissertation's contribution to research on teacher education in Canada, entitled "Self-Efficiancy for Inquiry-Based Instruction" Surviving the Leap from Student-Teacher to an Inquiry-Oriented Novice Teacher".
A class assignment in ECP's undergraduate course offering, EDPT 200 - Integrating Educational Technology in Classrooms, shared on YouTube has received over 50,000 hits and is now featured on McGill's front page as one of the top stories! Dr. Krist Muis, Associate Professor, in the the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology recently received the Richard E. Snow Award from the American Psychological Association, divison 15 (Educational Psychology).
The Richard E. Snow Award is given to an individual who has made a significant early career contribution.

The recipient of this year’s “Article of the Year Award”, is Amanda Saxe, a Ph.D. student supervised by Dr. Tara Flanagan. We would also like to acknowledge the work of Amy Shapiro, Ph.D. student, who is the recipient of an honorable mention award.
