The traditionally male-dominated world of business education – particularly on Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses – is going through a major change as more and more women join the ranks – spear-headed by those in Asia, research shows.
... Even Japan – which is known to have very few females in senior positions, such as commerce, industry, and government – is bucking-the-trend as the MBA programme in Tokyo, which is run by Canada’s Desautels Faculty of Management, is almost half female.

July 20, 2015— Peter Todd has been named the next dean of HEC Paris. He was most recently dean of the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University in Montreal, and he also has held positions at the University of Virginia, the Queens School of Business, and the University of Houston.
Usman W. Chohan has an MBA from Desautels (2014) in Strategy and Leadership. In 2015, he collaborated with Datin Shalini Ganendra’s gallery and cultural center, Shalini Ganendra Fine Art (SGFA), headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He has previously served as a consultant at the World Bank Institute, and as the Special Situations Analyst of Global Equities at Natcan Investment Management.
After winning the McGill Dobson Cup, World Wide Hearing received a $113,000 grant from Grand Challenges Canada to pilot its hearing aid delivery model, Hearing Express. In 2013-2014, the pilot project was run in Kraimeh, a rural community in Western Jordan, in collaboration with a new outreach centre for children with disabilities. Over the course of the project, Hearing Express female technicians visited Jordanian households and held hearing camps to provide affordable hearing aids to people who need them, validating the model.
