On November 13, 2015, the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM) and the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship co-sponsored a half-day workshop on social entrepreneurship. Entitled “Social Entrepreneurship: Designing your career, your enterprise, and your impact”, the event featured a broad range of attendees – from those new to the concept of entrepreneurship to established entrepreneurs.

He heads down to the lobby of Montreal's Place Ville Marie and steps into the Tailor2Go van parked out front where tailor Nathan Kong is waiting.

The McGill X-1 Accelerator is an intensive 10-week summer program to learn the skills to become better entrepreneurs from June 15 to September 9.
Demo Day is an event presented by the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship where 8 teams will be pitching their companies to the McGill community and to the broader Montreal startup ecosystem.
After winning the McGill Dobson Cup, World Wide Hearing received a $113,000 grant from Grand Challenges Canada to pilot its hearing aid delivery model, Hearing Express. In 2013-2014, the pilot project was run in Kraimeh, a rural community in Western Jordan, in collaboration with a new outreach centre for children with disabilities. Over the course of the project, Hearing Express female technicians visited Jordanian households and held hearing camps to provide affordable hearing aids to people who need them, validating the model.

After three months of mentorship and start-up plan pitches, the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship rewarded over $100,000 in cash and other prizes to the winners of the 2015 McGill Dobson Cup Start-UP Competition.

Professor Gregory Vit: "The Risk in Risk Management: Financial Organizations and the Problem of Conformity" book release
McGill Desautels Professor Gregory Vit's book: The Risk in Risk Management: Financial Organizations and the Problem of Conformity was reviewed in the March 2015 Issue of Organization Studies. The reviewer, Professor Iain Munro, concluded: "…this book deserves to be widely read and I have no doubt that its scrupulous lessons will better equip us and our students to avoid such financial misadventures in the future."
