Fifty-five members have joined our Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP), from different parts of the world and engaged in learning and developing their SBNH knowledge. Many are adopting the approach or implementing it at different levels: clinical, academic, or at the community level. This year we have grown our membership and have started our lunch sessions with the "Feed your mind" webinars.

Let's look back at the five impactful webinar events that were hosted by the VCoP last year:

Event 1 An SBNH sharing of experiences from Brazil and from Portugal. This webinar was facilitated by Elizabeth Bernardino, University of Parana, in Brazil and Paula Encarnaceo, from Minho University in Portugal.

Event 2 SBNH in a diversity of clinical settings in Nantes at the CHU and sharing with graduate students Julien Charrier and Lise Drouin Massuyeau. This webinar was facilitated by Nathalie Alglave, General coordinator DIF CHU de Nantes.

Event 3 "Life of a Nurse" film with sharing our understanding of what it means to be an SBNH nurse. This webinar was facilitated by Marilyn Ballantyne who was Holland Bloorview’s chief nursing executive and Lee-Anne Pires, Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy program at SickKids, both are SBNH leaders from Toronto.

Event 4 SBNH values: how they can improve our care decisions. This webinar was facilitated by Judith Lapierre, Full Professor at Laval University and Adjunct professor at the Ingram School of Nursing at McGill and Rebecca Chiasson, a graduate nursing student at Laval University.

Event 5 SBNH in context of Ouest African perinatal care: A collective video viewing and discussion. This event was in French: Les soins fondés sur les forces en contexte de l'Afrique de l'Ouest! Approche de Soins Fondes Sur les Forces et le Partenariat: Signes Physiologiques de Grossesse. This was facilitated by Judith Lapierre.

We are looking for SBNH facilitators for the coming year and anyone interested please contact Judith at judith.lapierre [at] fsi.ulaval.ca. We are planning our upcoming virtual events and should you have any specific interests, ideas and needs, please let us know.
