From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

‘The lost month of February’: COVID-19 was preventable, report shows - Global News, May 12, 2021

Dr. Joanne Liu, who recently joined the McGill School of Population and Global Health (SPGH), spoke to Global News on the conclusions of the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response report released in May 2021 and to which she contributed as a panel member.

…“For a full month, what we call the lost month of February, basically nations sat on their hands,” said Joanne Liu, a professor now at McGill University’s school of population and global health. “This allowed the virus to get a head start.”
