FRQNT Research Support for New Academics competition (2026-2027)
This session will be hosted virtually – the link and password will be provided to those who RSVP
The purpose of this program is to foster a new generation of researchers within the university research and teaching community by assisting new researchers who have just launched their academic career to become established as independent researchers and become competitive nationally and internationally. The program also seeks to strengthen the research system by encouraging new researchers to develop original avenues of research.
Researchers with projects in the natural sciences, mathematical sciences and engineering who are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQNT Research Support for New Academics competition (2026-2027) are encouraged to attend this information session, which will include:
- A presentation about the objectives and application requirements of the FRQNT Research Support for New Academics Grants by Catherine Karelis, Grants and Agreements Officer OSR;
- A presentation on tips and best practices for preparing a successful FRQNT application by Prof. Lili Wei (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering).
- A question and answer period where participants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about the program or the application process.
Those who are unable to attend or who wish to provide their questions in advance are invited to send their inquiries to catherine.karelis [at] mcgill.ca in advance so that they may be covered during the session.
