A sense of community as well as support for the development of core competencies are key to academic success and student wellbeing. Named after the successful “Connected Academics” project developed by MLA in 2019, this initiative is designed to support graduate students in the social sciences and humanities in their personal, professional, and academic growth, and to create a space for interdisciplinary reflection on their scholarly work.

Join us for a talk with Dr. Amanda Rosini (Dawson College) who will share her experiences, practical application strategies, and key insights into the hiring process. Dr. Amanda Rosini, a Montreal native, earned her Ph.D. in Religious Studies from McGill University in 2023. She is an experienced educator and scholar who currently holds faculty and lecturer roles at three major institutions: McGill University, Concordia University, and Dawson College. Since 2021, she has developed and taught a variety of courses at both university and CEGEP levels, including topics like the Bible, Western Culture, Elementary Biblical Hebrew, Religions of the World, and Social Science Research. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Rosini is actively engaged in academic publishing. She serves as managing editor and co-editor of The Journal of the Council for Research on Religion.
