McGill's Student Housing and Hospitality Services is comprised of Student Housing, Food and Dining, as well as Accommodations and Conference Services on campus. SHHS prides itself on offering a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment which is strategically designed to foster the development, education, and wellness of our community. We are committed to providing high quality services and maximizing operational efficiency to enhance the living and learning experience of our students, staff, and guests.
Student Housing: Each year, McGill welcomes more than 3,000 students that are housed in traditional and modern-style dorms, apartments, and shared-facilities houses. The Rez experience however, is so much more than housing. Students are encouraged to get involved in student government groups, campus organizations, community work, and so many more fulfilling activities. When you choose McGill Residences, you choose to enter a nurturing space that guides you through every step of your academic journey.
Food and Dining: McGill is committed to offering its students, staff, and guests high quality foods and beverages that were produced in an ethically-responsible manner. The directors work hard to support and maintain sustainable, environmental, and operational practices. When you visit any of our 5 dining halls and over 20 retail locations, you'll be treated to a diverse selection of cuisines to satisfy a wide range of tastes, budgets, and dietary restrictions. In an effort to provide locally-grown foods, The University gets a substantial amount of its produce from its own farm, located on the Macdonald Campus.
Whether you're looking to rent out a space for an upcoming conference or choosing accommodations for your guests, McGill can offer you a plethora of options; from elegant ballrooms to spacious auditoriums. During the summertime, we receive guests from across the globe who choose to stay at our hotel-style residences and dorms. The Department is dedicated to providing comfortable, stylish lodging at a competitive price.
Respect: We treat every person with dignity, care and concern and actively promote a culture of respect in our richly diverse community.
Education & Wellness: We encourage healthy lifestyles, endorse and offer nutritional food choices, use a prevention-based harm reduction approach and provide stimulating living-learning opportunities.
Sustainability: We support and maintain sustainable environmental, social, operational and fiscal practices.
