Eligibility & How to Apply
Resonance is open to all VPDI graduate students and postdocs. Twelve participants will be selected through a competitive process designed to balance opportunity with personalized support. The small cohort size ensures that each participant receives high-quality coaching, tailored feedback, and space to grow.
While all are welcome to apply, priority will be given to those with more advanced research and those nearing program completion—when strong communication skills become especially valuable—for job talks, defenses, and publications.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A brief statement of interest (max. 300 words)
- A signed supervisor approval form
- A past poster presentation (used as a foundation for the Fall semester talk)
The selection committee will aim to include participants from a range of disciplines and labs, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the Institute. By focusing on VPDI trainees, the program also reinforces the Institute’s founding goal: to build stronger connections and collaboration across scientific domains.
