Dr. Anthony Joseph Gifuni is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist based at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. He holds both an MD and a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from the Université de Montréal, and completed his residency in psychiatry at McGill University. He also earned a PhD in Neuroscience from McGill, where his research was recognized with multiple academic awards, including the Chairman’s Prize and the Dr. Holly Carsley Memorial Award. A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Gifuni combines clinical expertise with a strong research background, with interests at the intersection of psychiatry and neuroscience.
