In order to support clinicians in their practice, we provide a number of reliable resources below, with direct links to documentation and tools to inform clinical practice.

Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)

The CPA has a number of resources for practitioners.

American Psychological Association (APA)

Division 29 of the APA (Psychotherapy) provides resources for evidenced-based practice.

The APA also published a report on disseminating EBP for adolescents and children, available here.

Children’s Mental Health Ontario

The CMHO webpage provides information and resources for professionals on evidence-based practice.

Umind

Umind is a platform for child and youth mental health professionals to share resources, advice, tips and techniques. Health professionals, educators, and student learners will also find that Umind brings them greater insight, tools and techniques to help support children, youth and families facing mental health challenges. Joining Umind enables access to their Professional Resource Library, packed with hundreds of best practice resources contributed by treatment and resource centres across Canada.

SAMHSA EBP Resource Center

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s new Evidence-Based Practices Resource Center aims to provide communities, clinicians, policy-makers and others in the field with the information and tools they need to incorporate evidence-based practices into their communities or clinical settings. The Resource Center contains a collection of scientifically-based resources for a broad range of audiences, including Treatment Improvement Protocols, toolkits, resource guides, clinical practice guidelines, and other science-based resources.
