David Wees teaches a variety of courses in horticulture (greenhouses, fruits, vegetables, landscaping, urban horticulture) and other aspects of plant science. He is also associate director of the Farm Management and Technology Program. He is frequently interviewed by the media on topics such as urban agriculture, organic farming, gardening and plants in general. He is involved in several projects funded by McGill’s Sustainability Projects Fund: Macdonald Campus Orchard, Macdonald Campus Tree Planting Initiative and Season Extension Technology to Meet the Need for Local Food.
David is affiliated with L'Ordre des agronomes du Québec, The Canadian Society for Horticultural Science, Comité Cultures en serres (CRAAQ), L'Association pour l'enseignement de la science et de la technologie au Québec, The International Society for Horticultural Science and Société québécoise de phytotechnologie.
