Thank you for participating in Pain Medicine Research!

We are looking for participants for a novel study examining a possible association between CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) and the bacteria living in our gut (called "gut microbiome").

We are recruiting men and women above age 18 years, who are:
Either suffering from CRPS for more than 6 months
Or healthy adults

  • Without significant other medical conditions or chronic pain syndromes
  • Without oral antibiotic treatment in the past month.
  • Without change in their diet or medical treatment in the past month.

Participants will be asked to come to a single visit at the Pain Management Unit of the
Montreal General Hospital.
To give single samples of blood and stool.
Participants will be compensated for their time
This study is conducted at the MUHC by pain physicians and may
help develop a better understanding and therapy for CRPS.
