Melzack Lecture Series - Erika Gentile PhD Candidate "An Examination of the Magnitude, Profile, and Clinical and Neural Correlates of Dyscognition in Chronic Pain"

Erika earned her BA with honors in psychology from McGill University in 2017, gaining research experience in clinical psychology, developmental science, and cognitive neuroscience. In 2018, she began her PhD in clinical psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology at McGill, under the supervision of Dr. Mathieu Roy, Canada Research Chair in Brain Imaging of Experimental and Chronic Pain. Her dissertation, recently completed, focused on the extent and profile of neuropsychological deficits in chronic pain patients, as well as their clinical and neural correlates. Erika has also received extensive training in psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment at various sites, including the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit. Currently in the final year of the clinical program, she is completing an internship at the Adult Neuropsychology Clinic at the Montreal Neurological Institute and the Functional Neurological Disorders Clinic at the Allan Memorial Institute and Hospital.
