FSCI 500: Science Communication and Outreach

What is FSCI 500?

A course for graduate and undergraduate students (U0 and U1 require permission to register). For students who are interested in learning about the theory and practice of science outreach and science communication. Inclusive practices will be a focus of the lectures and assignments. Assignments include assessing audiences, creating a science explainer, and planning and promoting an outreach or communication activity. 
FSCI 500 is designed by Dr. Diane Dechief (Office of Science Education) and Dr. Allison Gonsalves (Department of Integrated Studies in Education) with the support of Jacky Farrell of the Office of Science Outreach.
