If you're interested in becoming a Peer mentor for a 100- or 200-level Science course, here’s what you need to know:
- You must be a current McGill undergraduate student
You need to be registered at McGill and remain enrolled throughout the semester in which you receive the award. - You must have completed the course or lab you want to mentor
This ensures you're familiar with the content and can confidently support other students. - You must be selected by the course instructor
Instructors choose Peer mentors each semester, usually students who have done well in the course. If you're interested, contact your instructor directly. - In general, you can be a Peer mentor for one course each term.
This ensures that as many students as possible can benefit from the peer mentoring opportunity.
Note: The Office of Science Education doesn't accept applications from students. If you're interested in becoming a Peer mentor, please reach out to your instructors.
