When is Open House?

McGill’s next Open House for prospective students will be Virtual! Virtual Open House will be held on Sunday, October 25 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm (EDT).

Do I need to register to attend McGill's Virtual Open House, and if so, how?

Yes! Registration is required to attend Open House. Once your registration is complete we’ll keep you up to date and notify you when the schedule of activities is posted online. We’ll also send you instructions on how to create your profile in our Virtual Open House platform so you’re set up before the event starts. By setting up a profile in the Virtual Open House platform you’ll be able to register for specific Open House sessions that are of interest to you, securing your spot. On the day of Open House, we’ll be able to send you reminders before the sessions begin, and based on the interests you indicate, we’ll notify you throughout the day of other sessions that may be of interest to you.

Where can I find further details about the activities available at Open House?

The Open House Activity Schedule will be posted on the virtual event platform in mid- October. Be sure to check out the schedule a few days ahead of the event, for any last-minute additions or changes.

Can I visit the downtown campus or Macdonald campus the day of Open House 2020?

Both the downtown campus and Macdonald campus are not currently open to visitors. Representatives from both campuses will be participating in Virtual Open House and will be available to answer questions about residences, student services, student life, and academic programs.

Will information on graduate studies at McGill be available at Open House?

The Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office will not be participating in the Virtual Open House event. For information about Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at McGill, please visit mcgill.ca/gradapplicants or contact gradapplicants.gps [at] mcgill.ca.

Are there other Open House dates, or other opportunities to visit or connect with McGill?

Open House is held once a year in the Fall. Currently, in-person activities have been suspended due to COVID-19. We encourage you to sign up for a Live with a Tour Guide virtual visit , or join our Admissions and Recruitment officers online. Click here for upcoming events.

Do you know when in-person classes or activities will resume at McGill, considering that the COVID-19 pandemic is still on-going?

Although McGill is committed to re-establishing a vibrant campus environment, future on-campus activities will depend on directives from the Institute of Public Health. Currently, most instruction is remote since it is our priority to keep the McGill community safe. In the meantime, we are making great efforts to be supportive to the community – especially our students and we are providing access to many tools to assist with remote learning.
