McGill's Open House will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Downtown Campus and from 12:30pm to 5:00pm at the Macdonald Campus.

The Open House Activity Schedule is available on our website. Browse through the schedule and plan your day ahead of time.

Please be sure to check back a few days before the event for any last-minute schedule changes.

Most visitors spend between 3 and 6 hours exploring academic presentations, student services, residence tours, and campus activities.

Absolutely. Open House is designed to help you explore all of your academic interests.

Yes. Admissions staff will be available throughout the day to answer questions about programs, admission requirements, and the application process.

While Open House is primarily focused on undergraduate programs, representatives from Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies will be available at Open House to provide general guidance on admissions and graduate programs.

At Open House, you can visit the Graduate Recruitment Team at the Service Point Desk. They will help you navigate through the admissions process and provide more information about programs of interest to you.

McGill offers over 450 graduate-level programs. We are confident you will find one that fits your personal, academic, and professional goals.

Please note: Not all Faculties or Schools may have specific program representatives or detailed information available.

Yes! Current students from various faculties and student organizations will be available throughout the day.

Yes. Representatives from student groups and campus services will be present throughout the day in the University Centre Building on the second floor.

Yes! Macdonald Campus will be open, and McGill’s Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences will be hosting a variety of activities throughout the afternoon, starting at 12:30 p.m. It’s a great opportunity to explore life at Macdonald Campus.

Macdonald Campus — affectionately known as “Mac” — is where our students and faculty build solutions for a sustainable future. Mac is McGill’s 650-hectare living lab for teaching and research in agricultural, food and nutritional sciences, and bioresource engineering.

Across our labs, greenhouses, fields, forest, and riverfront, you’ll gain the skills and hands-on training you need for an impactful career.

During your visit, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Meet faculty members and current students.
• Learn about programs in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
• Explore Macdonald Campus and its state-of-the-art facilities.

If you’re unable to make it to Macdonald Campus, don’t worry. Representatives from the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and School of Human Nutrition will also be available at the Downtown Campus to answer questions.

Shuttle service departs from the Downtown Campus in the afternoon to Macdonald Campus and returns to the Downtown Campus in the late afternoon.

If you’re planning to visit Macdonald Campus in the afternoon, we recommend choosing activities at Macdonald Campus rather than registering for Downtown Campus activities during the same time. If you’d like to attend activities at both campuses, you’ll need to arrange your own transportation between them.

McGill's Downtown Campus is easily accessible by public transportation, bicycle, foot, or car.

The closest metro stations to the Downtown Campus are:

• McGill Station (Green Line)
• Peel Station (Green Line)
• Place-des-Arts Station (Green Line)

McGill University's Downtown Campus is closed off to vehicle traffic, but many commercial parking lots and metered parking spots are available nearby.

Yes. Bicycle racks are available throughout campus.

Several hotels are located within walking distance from McGill's Downtown Campus. Some Montreal hotels offer preferential rates to McGill visitors.
