MURA Fall Walking Tour – Little Italy Neighbourhood

Friday, October 17, 2025, 10:30 - noon

Montreal's Little Italy, around the Jean-Talon market, was the institutional and commercial centre for the city's large community of Italian origin for most of the 20th century. Although Italian Montrealers now live in many parts of the city and suburbs – rarely these days in Little Italy – the neighborhood has retained its identity thanks to shops, cafés and restaurants, and the striking Madonna della Difesa church. There are also reminders of other groups, in this area that was an early example of the city's mix of cultures.

Starting point: 10:15 a.m. - Jean-Talon metro – exit through Sortie B (Jean-Talon Nord) / 7100 Berri. North side of Jean-Talon St. at Berri St., in front of Casa d'Italia.

A reservation will be made at a nearby restaurant for after the tour.

Register by Monday, October 13 using the link below.
