MURA Fall Walk
Morgan Arboretum, Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 10:30 - noon
Members are invited to participate on a casual walk with their colleagues, family, and friends through the Morgan Arboretum to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful fall foliage. There are 2K and 5K trails.
Cost: free
A reservation has been made for lunch at Tadja Hall after the walk. You will indicate your meal choice on the form and pay at the restaurant.

MURA Walk-a-thon & Lunch
for Centraide
October 21, 2026, 10:30 – 1:30
In Greater Montreal Centraide supports over 375 community agencies and projects that help more than 800,000 people every year. McGill has partnered with Centraide for over 50 years. Maybe you recall contributing through payroll deductions or by purchases at bake sales and other events hosted on campus. This year MURA (McGill University Retiree Association) is hosting a walk-a-thon and lunch to kick off the campaign. You can participate in both the walk and lunch or just the walk or lunch, or cheer your colleagues on!
How many times have you bought chocolate bars or other things to support you kids or grandkids activities? Now is the time to flip that script and get them to support you! Or ask friends, neighbours, former colleagues etc. Small amounts can add up and make an impact.
Donations are accepted in cash or via credit /debit cards using the Centraide link. The link will be provided on the donation form after you register. Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt from Centraide.
Walk-a-thon 10:30 – 11:30
The walk-a-thon will start at the Roddick Gates at 10:30 and do a 2.5 km circuit around campus ending at the Faculty Club for lunch afterwards. Participants are encouraged to collect sponsors for their walk. Walk-a-thon route:
Lunch at Faculty Club 11:30 – 1:30
Soup of the day, selection of sandwiches, sliced fruit and mini pastries (2/pp), Coffee/tea. Costs including tax & fees $37.00 payable to MURA by Thursday Oct 15th 5 p.m. During lunch there will be a 50/50 draw and a Silent Auction. All funds raised from the 50/50 and Silent Auction will go directly to Centraide. During lunch representatives from Centraide will explain more about the great work it does.
Silent Auction
Silent auction items include: a $500 travel voucher with Collette Cares, a travel supplier to CURAC; a Collect Cares knapsack; a Collect Cares Yeti water-bottle; Tickets to a Montreal Alouettes CFL playoff game at Molson Stadium; a winter membership to MCLL (McGill Community for Lifelong Learning). More items are in the process of being collected.
Places are limited, don’t wait for the last minute to register or you might miss out on this fun activity for a great cause! Register by October 15th.
Participants need to register - we need to know if you are attending the walk and lunch, or just the walk or lunch.
Once registered for the walk more information will be provided about how to collect donations.
