Sustainable CO2 reduction to methane

A novel binary copper-iron catalyst, assembled with GaN nanowires on Si platform with superior optoelectronic properties, was discovered to work in synergy for highly active and selective photoelectrochemical CO2 reduction toward methane.

This study represents a novel, highly efficient and inexpensive route for the synthesis of solar fuels based mature industrial epitaxial technologies.
