Title: Measuring Pollution from Space:  The MOPITT Story

Abstract:  The Measurements Of Pollution In The Troposphere (MOPITT)
instrument was launched on 18th December 1999 and has now been operating in
space for over 18 years and counting.   The wealth of information contained in
the over one billion measurements of tropospheric carbon monoxide (CO) made in
that time have provided a new view of the global nature of this pollutant gas.
