Accreditation
The Office for Continuing Professional Development (CPD), McGill University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Education (CACME). As a result, the CPD Office adheres to CPD/CME standards, regulations and criteria towards providing study credits to physicians for learning activities on behalf of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (Royal College) and the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). As such, the McGill CPD Office follows policies and directives as established by CPD/CME regulatory authorities
Accordingly, the CPD Office of the McGill University FMHS is mandated to provide high-quality CPD/CME activities designed to maintain the competence of physicians in caring for their patient populations and to promote a culture of lifelong learning. Furthermore, the CPD Office participates in research and scholarly activity with the aim of contributing to best practices in CPD/CME. In all of its activities, the CPD Office holds itself to the highest ethical and legal standards.
