Research Funding Checklist Guidelines

All FMHS researchers applying for for any external funding to be administered by the University (i.e. "Institution Paid: McGill University"), including all grants and contracts, must submit a Research Funding Checklist prior to applying.

As of March 31, 2025, the Research Funding Checklist transitioned to an online format and the PDF version of the Checklist was discontinued. The new online Checklist must be completed directly in eRAP by researchers (McGill email address and password required to log in). Reference guides for the completion of the online Checklist may also be found in eRAP and SharePoint.

For grants to be administered by affiliated hospitals and institutes, please contact your local research office.

Note: Individuals appointed as Academic Associates are typically ineligible to apply for external research funding as Principal or Co-Applicant.
