‘Ludic’ means to ‘show spontaneous and undirected playfulness’. Play is an essential part of Ludic’s research model as we employ a variety of unconventional learning mediums to achieve our goals, like VR and video games.

The LudicMind studio is located at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and is supported and sponsored by provincial and federal programs, as well as industry partners. LudicMind supports the creation and adaptation of e-mental health technologies and interventions that are user-generated and based on co-design processes that promote shared decision-making, continuity of care, and overall quality care and cultural safety.
