News and Events

Read all the latest news related to the Indigenous Studies Program's students, faculty, staff and program. All the Articles are published directly from the McGill Reporter, the McGill Tribune, McGill Giving, the McGill Newsroom and the Indigenous Studies Program itself.

The Indigenous Studies Program hosts events with Indigenous speakers on a wide variety of topics. The Indigenous Knowledge Holder Series invites an Indigenous Knowledge Holder to spend a week at McGill and to share their scholarship, work, or advocacy. Indigenous Knowledge Holders– whether they be wampum belt holders, storytellers, artists, activists, hereditary leaders, or academics– encompass generations of knowledge embedded within the cultural and epistemological milieu of Indigenous communities that span generations.
