Call for Expressions of Interest: Indigenous Advisory Circle, McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences 

Open to First Nations, Inuit and Métis members of the Faculty, the Circle will inform priorities, initiatives and decisions within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. 

Are you an Indigenous faculty member, staff member, learner, clinician, researcher or leader within McGill's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS)? 

The Indigenous Health Professions Program (IHPP) is seeking Expressions of Interest from Indigenous members of the Faculty community who wish to join the newly established Indigenous Advisory Circle (IAS). 

The Circle will be a space for Indigenous voices, perspectives and leadership to help guide the work of the IHPP. It will also help inform priorities, programs, initiatives and decision making across the wider FMHS. Through collaboration and relationship building, Circle members will contribute to advancing Indigenous health, wellness, leadership, excellence and student success. 

Joining the Circle is an opportunity to: 

• Connect with Indigenous colleagues across the Faculty. 

• Contribute your perspectives, experiences and ideas to strategic discussions. 

• Help shape initiatives that support Indigenous learners and foster culturally safe and inclusive environments. 

• Support the continued removal of barriers to access, success and belonging for Indigenous students. 

• Inform the future direction of Indigenous health and wellness initiatives within the Faculty. 

We welcome Expressions of Interest from First Nations, Inuit and Métis faculty members, staff, learners, clinicians, researchers and leaders across all departments, schools, institutes and units within the FMHS.
