TRC Women's Soccer Game
For the 2nd year in a row, join the Women’s Soccer team play their annual TRC Game! The TRC Game is a soccer game dedicated to Orange Shirt Day to honour Truth and Reconciliation. There will be a donation drive for those who would like to help give back to Indigenous students by giving to the First Peoples’ Houses’ soon-to-be food pantry.
CINE Symposium
The symposium is an annual initiative that aims to amplify student-led research at the Centre for Indigenous Peoples’ Nutrition and Environment (CINE) while creating opportunities for learning, reflection, and dialogue. CINE research is grounded in community-based research in response to Indigenous peoples' concerns about the integrity of their traditional food systems.
Keynote with Phyllis Webstad
Join Phyllis Webstad, residential school Survivor and Founder of Orange Shirt Day, for a special conversation on the story that inspired the Every Child Matters movement. Attend in person at Macdonald Campus, join the Downtown Campus screening, or participate online.

Film Screening: Return to Falls
Join us for a special screening of Return to the Falls, sharing the powerful story of Elder Betty Ross, a Residential School Survivor from Pimicikamak Cree Nation. Following the film, Elder Betty will be joined by the team lead educator, Sandy Robinson, and film director Eppo Eerkes for a conversation on truth, resilience, healing, and the importance of sharing these stories.

An accessible, urgent discussion between two friends—an Indigenous man and a settler woman— that not only invites readers to consider what reconciliation could look like in their everyday lives, but also gives them the practical tools to enact essential and meaningful change Derek Aronhie:nens Montour is an Indigenous man who grew up on the Kahnawà:ke Kanien’kehá:ka Territory. Elin Sandberg Miller is a non-Indigenous woman and immigrant to Canada.

Robbie Madsen is a 2-Spirit Professional Singer, Performance Artist, and more recently, the author of a notable memoir about their experience growing up in the Canadian foster care system, entitled "Insanity & Lies: Goodbye Sixties Scoop".
The R v. Manji Decision: Pretendianism as Settler Colonial Harm
Kanatase's talk will focus on the harms of pretendianism in Canada, and the necessity of framing this ongoing phenomena as settler colonial violence. At the same time, he will demonstrate that emerging calls to criminalize pretendianism as a crime under the Canadian criminal code misses other important considerations.
Indigenous Cuisine: Dining Hall Menu
Join us at CS/BMH/NRH/RVC dining halls for a special Indigenous menu created and shared by Chef Ryland Diome, a citizen of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation of Kahnawà:ke and member of the Wolf Clan.
Ryland is the Chef and Owner of Screaming Chef Cuisine, established in 2019, and a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. Through this special menu, guests are invited to gather, share food, and experience Ryland’s culinary perspective and connection to community.
