From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Student Societies

The student societies organize many activities and offer the chance to get involved in the McGill Community:

The Post Graduate Student Society (PGSS) runs Thomson House which is a great place right on campus to meet up and socialize.

 

The Human Genetics Student Society (HGSS) provides information for, to encourage communication amongst, to advocate for, and to help forge relationships between graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, medical residents and faculty associated with the McGill University Department of Human Genetics.

Student services

McGill offers a wide range of services for students including: career planning services, chaplaincy services, counselling, mental health, student health, tutorials and support for students with disabilities.

Sports

The McGill Athletics & recreation Centre is located on Campus and offers many sports activities. Mount Royal is also located next to McGill and is criss-crossed by many gravel roads and small paths that allow for a quick jog in the forest over lunch or at any other time.
