Chronic Pain Management (Grad. Cert.)

Program Description

The Graduate Certificate (Gr. Cert.) in Chronic Pain Management offered by the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences is a course-based program that emphasizes career-focused and engaging learning opportunities. Our comprehensive and innovative program offers a specialized and practical curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills in pain management.

Unique Program Features

  • An online program offered in both French and English;
  • The program is a collaboration between the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy and the Alan Edwards Center for Research in Pain;
  • Program learning outcomes align with the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Interprofessional Pain Curriculum Outline;
  • Upon completion of the certificate program, graduates may qualify for credentialing through the Canadian Academy of Pain Management (CAPM).

University-Level Admission Requirements

  • An eligible Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA out of a possible 4.0 GPA
  • English-language proficiency
