INTRODUCTION
This interactive patient case databank was developed as an adjunctive tool to optimize the acquisition of essential competencies during training in medical complications of pregnancy.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is senior medical residents.
We recommend that cases be discussed with attending staff specialized in Obstetric Medicine to obtain maximum benefit.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
These cases were developed and validated by Canadian Obstetric Medicine specialists.
We would like to thank each member of the CanCOM II research group for their generous participation in this project.
The case content is based on the CanCOM curriculum (Canadian Consensus for a Curriculum in Obstetric Medicine).
This project was funded in part by Le Fonds d'innovation pédagogique de l'Université de Sherbrooke and the RV Lee Research Award by NASOM (the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine).
