Thomas joined the Richards lab in 2024 as a PhD student in the Quantitative Life Sciences program at McGill University. Thomas previously studied at the University of Toronto where he obtained a H.B.Sc. in Biochemistry and an M.Sc. in Molecular Genetics. He also has previously worked as a high school biology teacher. Thomas is interested in the intersection between population genetics and proteomics; examining the role of genetic ancestry in protein expression patterns and their implications for health, disease, and evolutionary biology.
