Deferred exam schedule for courses taken in Summer 2022

COVID-19 Final Exam Safety Protocols

If you have COVID symptoms, you should not come to campus, even for an exam. Please complete the COVID self-assessment form for guidance as to your next steps. If you need to request a deferred exam, you can find the process outlined here.

The exam safety protocols mean that anyone who was in the exam room with someone who later tested positive is nearly always considered a low-risk contact, as defined by Public Health. This means that you do not have to self-isolate and only need to get tested if you develop symptoms.

Ventilation and room capacity:

  • Ventilation in exam rooms has been verified based on room capacities. In some cases, rooms are at reduced capacity based on ventilation assessments.

Students arriving at the exam venue:

The Athletics and Recreation Complex will be open to students 30 minutes before their exams begin. Exam rooms will be open as early as possible and students are asked to proceed to exam rooms and sit at a desk as soon as they are open.

  • Students whose exams are in the Fieldhouse should enter through the Fieldhouse doors. For all other exams at the Athletics Complex students should enter through the Atrium doors.

    During Exams:

    • Everyone in the exam room must wear a mask at all times; this includes students, instructors, and invigilators
    • Students are permitted to remove their mask briefly for drinking

    Cleaning protocols during exams:

    • Masks and hand sanitizers will be at the entrances of most buildings where final exams will be held
    • Disinfecting wipes will be available in each exam room for students who wish to clean their seat and desk before the start of the exam
