Biography: 

As Employment Equity Advisor, Degane contributes actively to advance McGill’s fulfillment of employment equity commitments as outlined in key EDI plans and reports including the McGill Accessibility Strategy; the Action Plan to Address Anti-Black Racism; The EDI Strategic Plan; and The Report of the Provost’s Task Force on Indigenous Studies and Indigenous Education.

She holds a MSc(A) in Occupational Therapy and has professional experience at the intersections of mental health, workforce, and equity. Degane is a graduate of McGill and has worked at the university since 2017 in lead administrative roles in the Faculty of Education and at the Ingram School of Nursing.
