Please note that the Occupational Health program is under revision and we will not be accepting applications to our M.Sc. Distance Education and Ph.D. programs until further notice. Updates will be posted as soon as available.
We offer the opportunity to earn a master's degree (MSc Applied) in Occupational Health Sciences in a distance education format, to occupational health physicians, occupational health nurses, industrial hygienists and allied professionals.
Our distance education program makes it possible to participate in a university learning experience, at the graduate level, regardless of location and time. Distance delivery of academic courses facilitates learning wherever you are, at home, at work, or while travelling the world. The time and pace of study can be adjusted to accommodate your commitments to careers and families.
Course requirements at the master's level are completed over a three-year period. Courses are presented primarily through computer using the myCourses software. An opportunity for face-to-face contact is provided through on-campus practica.
This degree is a regular program within McGill University. Students wishing to enroll in the master's degree program must meet the admission requirements of the University.
Occupational health professionals who may not meet the admission requirements or who may not wish to obtain a master's degree, but who wish to pursue professional continuing education, can enroll in the Occupational Health Distance Education Program either as Special Students, or for professional interest. Further information regarding registration for continuing education can be obtained by contacting the Student Affairs Coordinator at gradcoord1.eboh [at] mcgill.ca.
Registered students may access their personal academic files through Minerva, to change their personal information (mailing address, contact information, etc.); to verify their financial account at the University; and to access their course marks at the end of each academic term.
