Call for expressions of interest | Summer 2026 Internship

Published: 21 November 2025

D2R is excited to announce this brand new opportunity for internships to Black undergraduate students in summer 2026 in partnership with COUHR. COUHR is a student-run non-profit organization partnering with research institutions across Canada to provide funded summer internships for underrepresented undergraduate students in fields such as neuroscience, biophysics, and genetics.

This internship program provides students with paid summer research positions, mentorship, journal clubs, workshops on research skills, and the opportunity to present their work at an end-of-summer symposium. This partnership aims to inspire students to pursue graduate studies in genomic-based RNA therapeutics related fields.

Genomic-based RNA therapeutics research can lead to an active role in developing therapies to fight cardiovascular, rare, neglected, infectious and chronic diseases like cancer.

Details:

  • Internships stipends are fully funded ($7000) by D2R and are available to all undergraduate Black students in Montreal universities.
  • 15-week internship from May-August 2026
