McGill Faculties of Education and Medicine plan Indigenous Science Futures initiative for youth

As part of the opening discussions regarding a new Indigenous educational initiative called Indigenous Science Futures, representatives from McGill's Faculties of Education and Medicine met this week with First Nations and Inuit educators and Indigenous partners of the McGill RUIS (Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé).

Professor Hall tops list of best social media accounts for academics, reports UK's Guardian

UK national newspaper The Guardian today published a list of their favourite blogs and social media accounts for academics. To no one's surprise Dr. Nathan Hall, of our Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, topped the list with his popular @AcademicsSay twitter handle, where he has amassed over 180,000 followers.

Professors Choudry, Rassier awarded Canada Research Chairs

Professors Aziz Choudry and Dilson Rassier of the Faculty of Education have been awarded Canada Research Chairs (CRC), announced the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, at the University of British Columbia this week. CRCs are granted to "outstanding researchers acknowledged by their peers as world leaders in their fields." The program was created to help Canadian universities retain world-class researchers.
