Volunteering & Community Engagement

Why Volunteer?

Get involved in causes you care about on-campus or in the wider Montreal community! Whether you're helping with orientation, connecting with a charity, or engaging with local initiatives, volunteering is a great way to meet people and gain real world experience. We encourage you to explore your interests and get involved in activities that align with your personal preferences!

How to Choose

When choosing a volunteering opportunity, start by identifying causes that you are passionate about. Assess your skills and availability to find a role that suits your strengths and fits your schedule.  Consider volunteering to expand your skills.  Take the time to research organizations that interest you, ensure their mission aligns with your values.  If you are new to volunteering, start with short-term commitments.

Volunteering can also contribute to your career choices. For additional advice, you can consult the Career Planning Service (CaPS) website.
