Alumni Network

The Classical Studies Alumni network seeks to connect former Classics and Ancient History students so they can share with each other and with present students what their experience at McGill has brought them after university studies. The study of the ancient world with the inherent challenge of ancient languages and complex thought has trained many to become great teachers and researchers themselves, but also leading decision makers in the world of law, medicine, media, business and the arts.

The Humanities make the single most important contribution to the ongoing search for social meaning. Classical Studies at McGill fully reverberates the spirit of excitement and exploration that makes ancient world studies so unique in this quest. The network will allow our classically trained alumni to reconnect with each other and remember what made their studies so particular to their McGill experience, and to share their world with current students. Members of the network are kept up to date on current events, from guest lectures and receptions to theatre performances and field activities, and much more.

To join the network, please contact its coordinator jtucker [at] dawsoncollege.qc.ca (Jiri Tucker), Classics Professor at Dawson College in Montreal. Also, follow Classical Studies at McGill on facebook
