One of the youngest and with-it industries is advertising and no where more so than the new media side. One of the smarest people I know is Brian Fetherstonhaugh (BCom'79), who is the CEO of OgilvyOne, the new media part of Ogilvy, the great advertising company. Later this month, a plane will be sent up high into the skies near Montreal to ensure flying conditions are ideal. Then, if its pilots give the go-ahead, spectators will hold their breath and the Bombardier CSeries jet will take off for its much-anticipated maiden flight.
“The CSeries is, not quite, but almost bet-your-company for Bombardier,” said McGill University business professor Karl Moore, noting that the company also runs a large rail division.

Air Canada is negotiating a code-share agreement with a Gulf carrier rival that flies long-haul routes to the Middle East.
The airline announced Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Airways, whose hub is in Abu Dhabi, for a code-share agreement on routes between the United Arab Emirates and Canada.

... McGill University professor Karl Moore said the code-share agreement helps Air Canada continue its goal of becoming a global airline, drawing passengers who will fly through Toronto to other destinations.
