Harriet V. Kuhnlein receives INUS Living Legend Award

Congratulations to Dr. Harriet Kuhnlein, Professor Emerita of Human Nutrition, recently awarded the Living Legend Award from the International Union of Nutritional Sciences.

Dr. Kuhnlein received this prestigious award for her impactful decades-long global research on the nutrition of Indigenous Peoples and as Founding Director for the Centre for Indigenous Peoples’ Nutrition and the Environment (CINE). She continues to direct a Global Health Research initiative involving 12 cultures of Indigenous Peoples in different parts of the world to provide evidence that biodiversity inherent in traditional food resources of Indigenous Peoples fosters food security and good health and should be environmentally protected.
