Liuba González de Armas (she/her) is a Cuban Canadian cultural worker and researcher. Her research interests include activist printmaking, public art and propaganda, cultural memory, cultural diplomacy, and modern and contemporary art of the Americas more broadly. Supervised by Dr. Camila Maroja and supported by a Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS-M, Liuba’s MA thesis examines representations of women in revolutionary Cuban posters of the 1960s and 70s.
