of McGill University


Our mission:

  • to provide McGill students with useful information about housing in Montréal.
  • to advise students facing difficulties in their housing search, with their landlords or with roommates.
  • to provide up-to-date listings of available housing.
  • and to provide this service in a friendly and efficient manner.

As part of our service, Off Campus Housing provides access to an on-line listings of apartments for rent, apartments to share and rooms for rent in private homes in the vicinity of both the downtown & Macdonald campuses by bus and/or metro lines. The Off Campus Housing Office is open year-round and offers courtesy phones and computers, as well as lots of friendly advice to help students in their housing search.

The Housing lists shown in this website are accessible only by current and newly admitted McGill students.

Please note: The information provided on the on-line housing lists has been submitted by private landlords not associated with McGill. The accommodations have not been inspected by McGill and McGill makes no representation as to the accuracy of the information posted or the suitability of the accommodation for student use. McGill University assumes no responsibility in regard to any lease made with the landlord or any arrangements made by students sharing the accommodation. Students are advised to meet with the owner and inspect the premises before signing a lease.
