Official Announcement of Dentistry's New Facility

The Faculty of Dentistry announced Friday that many of its activities, including its undergraduate teaching clinic and clinical and community research unit, will be moving to a building located at the corner of McGill College Avenue and Sherbrooke Street. The Faculty of Dentistry will occupy three floors at 2001 McGill College Ave.

Innovation in 3D printing and spinal bone grafts at McGill

A team led by McGill University’s Dr Michael H Weber, and Professor Jake Barralet, are developing a new technology with a 3D printer which seeks to create replicas of bone for spinal grafts. The concept creates a bone-like replacement material in the exact shape of bone or bone segment which is to be removed. Professor Barralet holds the Canada Research Chair in osteoinductive biomaterials....

Dean Allison member of a new ODQ Committee on Access to Oral Healthcare

Following extensive discussions with stakeholders in the field of dentistry, the Order decided to create a Committee on Access to Oral Healthcare.

The committee will hold vast, province-wide consultations on questions related to access to oral healthcare, conduct an in-depth analysis of the situation and suggest concrete, fact-based solutions. It will present its findings in April 2014, to mark Oral Health Month.

Dean Allison receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal
