REMINDER: On Wednesday May 3, the old website for quarantined email (yourspam.mcgill.ca) will no longer be accessible to release any remaining emails stored there. Users will be redirected to https://junkmail.mcgill.ca.
Staff email is currently slow due to a high load on Exchange servers used for staff mailboxes. Response time will improve as content is synchronized over the next few hours.
There is a network connectivity issue affecting the 15th and 16th floors at 688 Sherbrooke. Technicians have been dispatched to investigate the problem. We apologize for the disruption.
McGill’s Anti-Spam Service filters all incoming email and “quarantines” those messages suspected of being spam. On April 8, McGill’s IT Services will change the URL of the website for managing quarantined email messages.
McGill's Software Licensing site will be upgraded to a new version of the eStore on Friday, April 1, 2011. The new website interface offers a more streamlined process for ordering software. If you have a bookmark to the underlying E-Academy site you should replace it with www.mcgill.ca/software.
REMINDER to McGill web site owners/managers: Have you requested to move your WPS website to the new Web Management System yet?
For the past 10 years, the Data Warehouse has been taken off-line every night for approximately 90 minutes in order to be refreshed with live production data. Now the data refresh can be done in the background, resulting in only a 5-minute downtime at the beginning of the refresh and another 5-minute downtime upon completion. Be aware of fraudulent email messages entitled "Update Your Account" that are circulating at McGill. The email asks you to click an attachment that is a copy of a McGill sign-in form and then submit this data to an external site. Please delete this email immediately!
