McGill PhD Neuroscience student David Maillet has been selected as the winner of an Étudiants Chercheurs-Étoiles award, of the Fonds Santé of the government of Quebec. David's research is aimed at better understanding why memory declines with age, in order to develop strategies to reduce or counteract this phenomenon, improving the quality of life for seniors in our society.
As a result of the MUNACA strike, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) have shifted priorities to allow graduate student-related activities to be conducted in an efficient manner. The Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies’ (GPS) Recruitment and Retention team has won the 2009-2010 Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools (NAGS)/ Educational Testing Service (ETS) Award for Innovation in Graduate Student Recruitment and Retention.
