Walking with care is about ethics and accountability
Walking with care is about ethics and accountability—accountability to your students, to the communities they are coming from, and to the Indigenous homelands where you live and work.
It involves creating a caring and inclusive learning environment and addressing difficult topics safely. It also means doing your homework to ensure the authenticity of learning materials you use in the classroom, and welcoming Indigenous guests with appropriate protocols. It is ultimately about humility and taking the time to learn and unlearn.
