NOVANOV Logo

The NOVANOV team federates researchers from different departments at McGill University and the Université du Québec à Rimouski and unites various research projects surrounding the history and the art of the novel. This research team examines all questions relative to the novel as an art form. Research focuses on "the modern novel," which is to say novels written between the later eighteenth century and the present day.

The NOVANOV team brings together researchers from the​ Department of French Language and Literature, the Department of English and the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures of McGill University, as well as from the Department of Literature and Humanities of UQAR.

The NOVANOV bibliography (available in French only) provides a critical review of the writings of modern novelists (nineteenth and twenty-first century) on their art.​
