Welcome to the Surgical and Interventional Sciences* division.
The Surgical and Interventional Sciences division is responsible for the administration of the graduate surgical research programs and it allows excellent opportunities for training under the supervision of professors located in the research institutes of the different McGill teaching hospitals. The scope of the research and close connections with other centres and departments of McGill provide ample opportunities for collaboration.
*Formerly known as Experimental Surgery
Surgical and Interventional Sciences, in conjunction with the McGill Faculty of Graduate Studies offers graduate level training programs in Surgical Research, leading to Ph.D., Master's, Surgical Innovation Graduate Diploma or Certificate degree.
Basic, clinical and evaluative research is conducted in all divisions of the McGill Department of Surgery.
We are excited to announce the commencement of the amalgamation process between the Graduate Program in Otolaryngology (OTL) and Surgical and Interventional Sciences (SIS). This important change aims to enhance both programs by uniting our research strengths under a new, multidisciplinary framework.
By bringing together the diverse expertise, we aim to create a stimulating and enriching environment for our graduate trainees. This collaborative structure will not only foster innovation but also prepare our graduates to excel in a rapidly evolving field.
We look forward to this exciting transition and the opportunities it will create for our community!
